99 percent mine review7/7/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() There were some moments of the story that drew me in, such as Darcy learning more about the relationships in her life but again, I felt that it wasn’t enough to really have me invested. If this plot seems familiar it’s because it kind of is, in my opinion. Darcy reconnects, over a renovation of their deceased grandmothers cottage, with her lifelong crush, who also happens to be her brothers best friend, Tom Valeska. This story starts with Darcy Barrett, tough girl who never stays long in one place and twin of Jamie Barrett. I am not completely sure what exactly it was about the story, but I had a hard time really connecting to any of the characters, which is a huge part of the reading experience to me. I want to start this review by saying how much I really enjoyed Sally Thorne’s last novel “The Hating Game” I loved it! Unfortunately, I didn’t feel as excited about this current novel, “99 Percent Mine”. ![]()
